Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn, and cauldron bubble.

Metallic Blue is the new black!  Inka Gold Cobalt Blue is the best metallic blue I’ve seen and it worked beautifully on the different surfaces of this piece. I covered the Victorian Terrarium, the brass horse and the skull charm with it. Smooth as silk.  It goes on moist and dries quickly in the air. I didn’t see Gale’s Spooky Terrariums until after I’d made this piece but I think either terrarium works well as a Halloween piece.

What will you be making for Halloween?

METHOD

  • Create a small collage to fit within the frame of the terrarium.
  • Spray paint the wood of the eco fiber board, then cover with Inka Gold Cobalt Blue. Inka Gold will work without the base of spray paint too.
  • Use a cotton tip to get the Inca Gold into small spaces. Otherwise, use your fingers. This is a non toxic pigment cream and it washes off the hands easily.
  • Cover the charms of your choice with Inka Gold Cobalt Blue.
  • You can buff the Inka Gold with a paper towel for a higher sheen.
  • Glue on the collage and glue the terrarium together.
  • Glue on the charms and add rhinestones.
  • If wanted, glue on a piece of wire to make this into a hanging piece.

So cool T! I agree that both the victorian and the spooky terrarium work wonderfully as halloween pieces. Your trademark horse looks great dancing on the skull!
