I’ve been concentrating on embroidery stitches and slow cloth recently. One piece of cloth went nowhere but had it’s good points and interesting sections. A cut out section of this became the basis for the color way of the entire piece. I found pearls, beads, ribbon and a beautiful face to match and the Regal Angel was born.

METHOD

  • Paint Regal Angel Form – I used gold spray paint which you can find at your local hardware or Walmart.
  • Wire in some beads or pearls to hang from bottom.
  • Cut out embroidered section to fit inside the frame part of the piece.
  • Print and cut out Beautiful Face to fit face form.
  • Inset embroidered piece and glue parts together.
  • Add a piece of Sari Silk Ribbon and Metallic embroidery thread to complete face.
