I have to admit…I have issues with color! I have always gravitated toward neutrals and softer tones, but lately I have been determined to give color a more prominent role in my work. Not very hard to do with some of the delicious finds Gale has in her shop.
Starting off with a 4×4 canvas dream up your layout ahead of time.I glued on some cheesecloth and three Butterfly Fancy Shapes
then I completely covered it in Gesso…
…I then covered it in Lettuce Color Dabber…
and because I was feeling adventurous, I added some Pool Dabbler color..heehee…and decoupaged some stickers and completely covered the canvas in Mod Podge …
…I then added watered down black acrylic paint to the entire canvas…
and once it partially dried,I wiped off the black using a baby wipe. You can take off as much as you like. The black paint highlights the texture…
to add even more highlights, I rubbed on some delicious Inka Gold
and added additional texture with rub -ons and Liquid Pearls…
I finished it off with a Paper Whimsy Beautiful Faces and whatever else made my heart sing….
laalaalaa…
…
I used the following Paper Whimsy Products to make these…
Here’s to making every minute count,
Love it, thank you for sharing…

Cat, these are beautiful. Love seeing the process and you did a great job with the color.
I don’t know how you create such beautiful projects time and time again but you do. So many interesting textures and treasures.
Beautiful layers and adore the way you used colour but then toned it down.

So much FUN!
