I am smitten with the Kraft Glassine paper that is available in the shoppe. It is very durable to work with. Stamping, sewing, tearing, staining, the list of what it can handle never ends! If you have not tried working with this super awesome paper you really should. I promise you will be smitten too!
The tags were created by cutting pattern paper and cardstock in 3 x 5 inch strips. I layered the pattern paper over the cardstock to make the tag stronger. I used the Hybrid Images (basket and botanique) over the script hybrid image. This was done by opening the script image in Photo Shop and adding the floral images as an overlay. I made sure the images were small enough to fit on the tags before printing.Print on to double matte photo paper.
Stamp on to 1 1/2 inch strips of Kraft glassine paper. Fold the strip randomly and sew to bottom of tag base. Repeat process if making a double ruffle. Add lace or cheesecloth to main tag background, and center botanical script image. Stitch with machine along edge. Add accents (Digi Sheet 222 and Art Bits 02 PNG), lace, and buttons. Punch hole in top of tag and add ribbon.
I would love to see the layered ruffles you create with this magical glassine paper!
