Have a Fat Book you are participating in? Got all your copies made? Next is all that tedious gluing and making sure the pages don’t stick together. This is a fat book page I made, only using glue for the final embellishments.
After all your copies are made, include a sewn embellishment, such as around the frame of image above. Or sew your embellishments, before the pages are folded. Then you can stitch the pages together, around the edges, by sewing with a zig-zag stitch, or any decorative stitch you like. Even change up the colors of the threads you use. It doesn’t have to match exactly. This is very easy and a fast method, and even strengthens the edges. I can see fibers or ribbons being attached at the same time. And best of all, not a lot of messy glues. So get that sewing machine out, it’s not only good for fabric, but paper too!
I am doing alot more sewing on my cards for Christmas. It adds a final touch. Will do a book soon and ad sewing. Love this design and my favorite image.
