Pearl of Light Curioso by Tina Walker

Hi and Happy Thursday!  Tina here today with my latest PaperWhimsy project, an Amazing Alterable Curioso, full of texture, pattern, and gorgeous color!IMG_2503a
I love combining Amazing Alterable with found, vintage objects!  They are made for each other and they are a great way to add a personal touch to your assemblage projects. Here’s a short tutorial on how I created the base for my Pearl of Light Curioso.

Step One
Adhere pretty patterned paper to your Amazing Alterable using matte medium (or your favorite wet adhesive).  I used a few scraps of my latest Eco-Dying project.  I love how the paper looks like marble.

Step Two
Once the adhesive has dried, trim around the edge of your Amazing Alterable piece.

Special tip.  For my project, I layered a large and medium Curioso piece on top of each other for dimension.  It’s a super easy way to add interest and fun to your projects.

Step Three
Add wet embossing to wing and eye pieces.  Embossing is one of my favorite ways to add instant texture and color to Amazing Alterable.  You also paint or glitter your wings and eye pieces.

Step Four
Assemble Amazing Alterable pieces with vintage findings and trim.
