Washi Tape Winged House Trio by Cat Kerr

I’m always looking for new ways to add color to the beautiful Alterables in the Paper Whimsy shop! Washi Tape has been around for some time now,and I’ll be honest, I never really cared for trying them. But not to long ago a friend mailed me a goody bag and inside was a roll of Washi tape. What an awesome background I thought…and the rest is history..heehee.

Cover the front and back of the base of the house in strips of Washi Tape. Now because Washi tape does not have a strong adhesive on it I also covered it in a layer of M0dge Podge.

Add a light coating of Gesso.

Cut out your image and text and glue it on the base.

Add modge podge to the wings and cover them in glitter.

Pour two equal parts of  Amazing Casting Resin.Add a small amount of Alumidust into part A and mix thoroughly. Then combine both parts, mix thoroughly and using the popsicle stick apply it to the top portion of the house and let cure.

It takes about 10 minutes for it to go from a clear to a soft pale color.
