Cover those Plain Journals

Have some blank journals sitting on the self?  Why not pull them out and cover them with some great art!  I love the new digi sheets of Gale’s photographs from England.  They really don’t need anything added to make a beautiful cover for any journal.  For this one one, I’ve used an image from Digisheet #43.   I painted the background with a metallic gold paint, and rubbed the edges with ink.  Using a few of the TIm Holtz trinkets, I added dangling charms and ribbons to the coil binding.  For the closure I used the hinge  from Tim Holtz grungeboard.  Painted with Lumiere gold and attached it to the back of the journal with brads and cut a small strip from the grungeboard scrap, and attached it to the front of journal.

On the inside first page, I chose three Clear Nottingham Stamps, and stamped in a coordinating bluish ink.

Here are a couple of those tiny composition journals that I collaged from Digi Sampler #1.
