Sweet Treasures Necklace

I created this necklace by tracing a background piece of fabric/felt into a inch circle. Find the center of the circle (where you will fold it) and mark with a straight pin. This will guide you on which side of the circle you will be embellishing.

Add little bits of old lace, fabric, buttons and beads to one half of the circle by hand stitching on to the fabric/felt base. I added some running stitches along the edge of the circle to give it a more time worn feel.

Using a decorative brad, pierce the fabric and place in desired location on piece. Add fabric glue to the back of circle and fold in half, centering on the middle of the chain. You will want to add a few clamps/book clips to the edges to keep it in place. Allow the fabric/felt time to dry. Glue on the Pebble key charm with E6000 glue.

You now have a beautiful necklace to add to your spring wardrobe, or make as a gift for someone special.

Variations:
Use one of the photo frame charms in the shop and add a special photo to the fabric base. This would make a wonderful keepsake to give as a Mother’s Day present.

Trace smaller circles of felt and create sweet little brooches using the same layered technique. There are many pastel shades to pick from in the shoppe. Add a pin back, and you have a darling accent to wear on your lapel.
