Felted Book Necklace

Create a little bling for spring and spruce up your wardrobe. This little book was made using the beautiful wool felts available in the shop.

Supplies:
Sherbet Wool Felts
Charms
Baby Blue Eyes Flowers
Velvet Leaves Minty
and Midnight Garden ribbon necklace pack.

Simply cut out the shapes (I have three pages) and double layer hand stitching (or fabric glue) along the edges. I added small eyelets to the corners so it could hang like a book on the ribbon necklace. Little bits of tulle, beads, and Prima flowers and leaves were added as accents. Run the Midnight Garden ribbon through the eyelets and add charms to the side.

Idea to Note: You can also make your necklace more shabby by using Gale’s distressed felt recipe. Cut your shapes out. Fill the kitchen sink with hot sudsy (use dish soap) water. Take the felt pieces and wash in the sudsy water rubbing to get them “nubby”. Rinse in warm water. Place pieces in the dryer with a towel. Want a touch of grunge? You can spritz the shapes with coffee or tea to stain them.

Very feminine and springy. This would be a marvelous St Patties gift too.
