Thoughts of Spring Card

The thought of spring…birds chirping, flowers budding, and the last of this cold winter melting makes my soul giddy right now. I created this card using a cardstock base. I then printed out Antiquities 05 JPG on to matte photo paper. I like to conserve my photo paper, so I rotated the image counter clockwise and fit 2 images into my Microsoft Word document. Print and trim images using a paper cutter, distress edges with ink, and adhere to cardstock base.

To print the lacy medallion I inserted the image into my Microsoft Word and resized. Vellum was inserted into my printer and the “transparency” setting was selected before printing. Print medallions and allow vellum to dry if needed. Cut out medallion image. Adhere the vellum medallion using double sided tape cut in small bits on to the front of the card. Allow the edge to overlap. Secure a button in the center and add a bit of floss thread.

Print Art Bits 06 PNG on to matte photo paper, and cut out several butterflies. Attach the butterflies randomly to the front of the card using small bits of double sided tape, allow the wings to remain up for a 3-D effect. Add a few buttons. Add a small word from Digi Sheet 180. This card will make anyone dreaming of spring chirp with glee!
