Wild Winged Whimsy by Theresa mARTin

The Curious Ornate Egg has a lovely frilly vine piece that I wanted to show to maximum advantage. I did this by painting the background a different color than the front and added some cabochons, rhinestones, a leaf bead and a flower on top.  For the images, I got out a lot of whimsy printouts and played around with them until I came upon the combination of this serious face and a pretty moth. It made me smile to put them together in this Wild Winged Whimsy and I hope she makes you smile too.

Before putting on the scrollwork piece, I painted part of the base a deep blue for contrast.

METHOD USED:
Begin by painting the background with your desired contrasting colors.
Assemble and cut out your whimsy sheets. For this piece, I sized the face and moth in Photoshop to fit the egg.
Place and glue the layers together and add beads, rhinestones and pretty embellishments to the front.
