The Mysterious Boo Sisters are decked out in their fanciest Ball Gowns made from black velvet leaves. Each wears a cage from which  another secret sister peeks out.  Familiar crows sit on their shoulders and their fine rhinestone crowns are the final touch. With their candy corn lace collars, bat wings, orange and black colors and black velvet leaf dresses, they are ready for any Halloween Ball. They ask: “What will you wear to the Midnight Halloween Masquerade Ball?”

The Boo Sisters
Start by painting the figure black. Trace the ‘dress’ from the collage sheets and arrange on the figure.

These figures are straight forward and easy to make. Spray paint speeds up the paint process, and the collage part of the dress is all easy paper collage. The final mixed media embellishment touches are the big black velvet leaves and a few rhinestones here and there.

Put your cut ‘dress’ pieces under the bird cage and on the body.

These remind me in many ways of The Night Circus and the imagery I have in my head of that most amazing book. Fantastic is an overused word but that’s what they are! I’d love to buy any one of them. Or are you selling the makings?

Thank you for sharing your beautiful, magical work!
