Adirondack Alcohol Inks

I have just started playing with the Adirondack Alcohol Inks.  One of the easiest things to use these inks on is glass.  I just happen to have a few small bottles I bought for the purpose of altering, so now was the time to get them out.  I chose the colors of Pesto, Raisin, and Ginger.  I squeezed a small amount on a piece of felt and rubbed it on the entire outside of the bottle.  Then I added just a small amount alcohol blending solution and patted randomly over the bottle again.  This gave it a bit of a mottled look to color.

It dries very quicky, and I gave all the bottles a light spray of artist varnish.  These bottles had wooden tops, so I painted them using coordinating Lumiere Paint in colors of Halo Pink Gold, Citrine, and Sunset Gold.  Then comes the fun part of embellishing!  A grungy tag with a little Paperwhimsy image, a pretty ribbon, Prima Fleurs, and a Mother of Pearl button.  When you finish with the embellishing, find some pretty bits to show through the tinted glass.  They will make great little display pieces.
