Fluffy Crepe Paper Trees
These sweet trees are very addicting to make! Create several different sizes to make a gorgeous vignettes to spread holiday cheer throughout your home. You can add all sorts of baubles and trims.
Supplies:
Paper Mache Cone
Heavy Crepe – Ivory
Mica Chips
White Mini Clothespins
Rusty Hearts
Silver Tinsel Stems
White Mini Pom Trim
Digi Sheet 281
Pure Silver Glass Glitter
Wired Ribbon – Ivory
Rusty Bell Garland
Technique:
(1) Cut crepe to 1 1/2 inches wide. Cut strips about 2 1/2 feet long. Using a basting stitch gather section to make large ruffle. Hot glue in sections on to cone, staggering as you wrap around.
(2) For large tree – spritz with coffee. Once dry, add ivory wired ribbon. Hot glue buttons randomly on tree.
(3) Cut small triangles from old sheet music and stitch on machine to form long garlands. Hot glue in to place on tree wrapping around.
(4) Cut out word banner. Add rusty jungle bells. Glue heart at top.
For smaller trees:
(1) Cut crepe to 1 1/2 inches wide. Cut strips about 2 1/2 feet long. Using a basting stitch gather section to make large ruffle. Hot glue in sections on to cone, staggering as you wrap around.
(2). Add matte gel medium to tips of crepe paper and sprinkle with silver glitter. Hot glue pretty petals randomly along tree.
(3) Cut small triangles from pattern paper and stitch on machine to form long garland. Wrap around tree gluing into place. Add mini pom trim. Add little white clothespins.
Sparkling Spools with Finials
I am smitten with these beautiful spools! There are so many ways to create with them. You can collage images, add bits and baubles, lace, tinsel…the possibilities are endless. They make gorgeous tie-on’s for packages, ornaments, or even a beautiful garland filled with them.

Pure Silver Glass Glitter
Spools with Finials
Digi Sheet 281
Genteel Lady 06
Craft paint
E6000 Glue
Technique:
(1) Paint spools and finials with craft paint. Drill hole in finial top for hanging.
Add collage sheet music around base using Perfect Paper Adhesive of Matte Gel Medium.
(2) Add lace to spool base. Or add a Beautiful face from Paper Whimsy. Add word.
(3) Paint thin coats of adhesive along edges of spool and dust with Silver Antique glitter.
