Upon A Shining Sea Frame

She sells…sea shells…by the sea shore…who says shells must be displayed in jars or boxes? Why not incorporate them into your art? I had so much fun creating this border from shells, and they are easy peasy to create with! My piece is simple for a more rustic nautical feel, but you could go for Victorian elegance with your project. I would LOVE to see what you create with shells and beautiful faces!

Supplies:
Collage Sheet 262
World Mix Sea Shells
Digi Sheet 237

I painted my wood base a neutral cream color. You could also do this project on: Canvas, Boxes, or Tin Boxes. Apply text or sheet music to the background with matte gel and then apply your beautiful face image. I selected the shells and worked from top to bottom placing shells of the same sort to achieve balance. When I was pleased with how the sea shell border looked, I went back and glued in place with E6000. Allow time to dry. Little beads were also added for a touch of glimmer, and thin rope around the edge to give a nautical feel.
