To create these little Parisian Flea Market boxes I painted the out rims with craft paint (a soft off-white) and applied pattern papers (Hazel by My Minds Eye) with gel medium. I used Digi Sheets 222 and 223 to add vintage Parisian text and images and decoupaged to the tops of the boxes using gel medium. Vintage locks and keys (Melissa Frances) were added to the tops of the boxes and a few old buttons. The other Melissa Frances Appliques would work well with these boxes, too.
I also cut the beautiful labels and images to create tiny tags that can be tucked inside the boxes as a special gift for someone. The mini brads were inserted in the tops of each tag to give a layered effect.
There is a wide assortment of gorgeous brads for these projects available in the Paper Whimsy Shoppe:
Brads and Charms
These sweet little boxes would make a wonderful gift for a friend or perhaps for Mother’s Day.
