Faerie Paper Heart Pockets

When I was a little girl, making Valentine holders was a special craft to enjoy. I would decorate white paper plates that had been glued or stapled together. One of the plates was always cut in half (the pocket) which allowed special Valentine greetings to be tucked in. I loved running to each of my neighbor’s homes with my little paper plate creations in hand and some love to spread their way. I’m sure they all thought I was an odd little character (which I still am) but sharing the love made me feel so good inside.

I decided that something similar to my paper plate creations could be created using beautiful pattern papers, lace, and collage images that could be hung all year long.

I have made a tutorial which you can download to computer with step by step instructions:
Faerie Heart Paper Pockets

The tutorial also includes a template for easy printing. I hope you have fun making these little pockets and hope you will share the love!

This post made me chuckle away! I am just like you Nancy, always making things and giving them away (even as a child). Yes, we may be a little strange but it helps our inner muse…lol! Thanks for the tutorial. LOVE your beautiful heart(s).

Here I was wondering what I can make between Christmas and Valentines Day. I got my studio cleaned up pretty well from Christmas but it looked kinda deserted after all the frenzy making my Christmas projects. Can hardly wait to get started on these. Thanks for the tutorial and template. Will be so fun.
