I made these sweet little stockings using the Christmas Stocking Template that Gale created for this project.
Using Warm and Natural Craft Batting, I traced the stocking shape on to the batting, cut the pieces out, and added beads and buttons to the front side. A little bead of craft glue was run along all edges *except the top* and placed aside for time to dry. I wanted a little more detail so with a needle and thread ran a little stitch along the outer stocking edges.
Little bits of lace remnants, ribbon and a heart charm were added at the top of the stocking. A piece of floss for a hanger was also added. Roll each stocking in White Mica and you have some warm and cozy stockings to add to your tree.
Option: Glue or stitch a Paper Whimsy image to the front of each stocking for a totally different look.

for anyone that loves pretty, lacey, vintage nostalgic things this is perfection!!! Gorgeous gems Nancy!!
These are absolutely lovely! I have 8 nieces, 2 d-i-l’s and a daughter, plus a couple of granddaughters, as well as at least 10 great nieces, for whom I always make something pretty, and this would be a marvellous idea that I can whip up fairly quickly. Thanks you so much for publishing this on your website, as I was wondering what I could do for “my girls”.
One of the best things is, I have all the ingredients!!
I love these as well as all the other wonderful projects you’re making with the batting too. I decided to make enough of the cones to decorate a tree, so I may have to do some of these too.
These little stockings are so beautiful and delicate. I plan to make them, if not by Christmas, I’ll start in January!
You have such a beautiful site. Thank you!
