Sugar Plum Trinket Boxes

Are you looking for something sweet to create as a gift or hang on your tree? These little trinket boxes are wonderful little projects that will be sure to charm anyone this holiday season. You will need to cover matchboxes (or use these) with decorative papers (I used these two Hybrid backgrounds):

I simply put the images into my Microsoft Word program and printed on to heavy brochure paper. Wrap the box just like you would a gift using double sided tape on the inner sides to hold the paper securely to the box. On the top portion make sure to poke holes (for your tinsel hanger) as you fold. Snip a small piece of Silver Tinsel Stem and add a bit of glue at the bottom. Insert into the 2 holes at the top of your box. You now have the hanger.

On the front I used Taffy Pink Flowers and glued down. I used the following Beautiful faces: Sheet 120 Sheet 091 and Sheet 240 which were printed out from the PDF downloads.

Using a circle punch I was able to cut their faces in sweet circles. Glue image to the front of flower. Carefully add silver tinsel along the edge of their photo with a glue gun and tweezers. Ribbon was added to the bottom of the box and on the tinsel handle. The final embellishment is a Darling Pearl.

I can see these little trinkets in many different color combinations and hope you have fun creating them.
