\u00a0The following is a little mini tutorial on adding paint, Gildenglitz, and antiquing the rusty tin tile.<\/span><\/p>\n

Step 1<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\"\"<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/strong>With a sponge or scruffy brush, randomly dab turquoise and sage green acrylic paint on the tile.\u00a0 <\/span>Let dry.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Step 2<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0\"\"<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0 <\/span>Apply the Duo Adhesive also in a random pattern, cover some of the paint, and some of the rusty areas.\u00a0 <\/span>After waiting the appropriate time, apply the Gold Gildenglitz, rub, and brush off excess. Please see Lucinda’s blog for the wonderful detailed instructions of all the steps of the gilding process.<\/span><\/p>\n

Step 3<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0\"\"<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0 <\/span>Thin down a small amount of Burnt Umber acrylic paint with water.\u00a0 <\/span>Brush the over the entire tile, being sure to get the paint in the recesses.\u00a0 <\/span>Lightly wipe off any excess with a paper towel.\u00a0 <\/span>Let dry, and it is ready for your favorite sealer or varnish.\u00a0 <\/span>It\u2019s now ready to add all those wonderful collage images and embellishments.\u00a0 <\/span>Experiment with different colors or paint and Gildenglitz, I bet you can come up with some wonderful effects!<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
